The course provided me and even clearer understanding of Climate Change with direct examples and culminated in me creating an action plan and direct pledges of the direct things I was going to implement and build upon.

- Pesquise a justiça climática com mais detalhes discutidos no curso e que eu não havia considerado totalmente. Diet. Vamos nos comprometer a garantir que o EPC da casa seja melhorado de B a A com 5 anos. Por ser uma força para o bem, podemos espalhar a palavra que ajuda a direcionar mudanças da maneira certa e pelas razões certas. As pessoas começarão a fazer pequenas mudanças dia a dia para reduzir suas emissões pessoais de CO2 e isso também transporá para o seu local de trabalho. Eles conversarão com outras pessoas sobre as mudanças e impactos que estão causando, e outros perguntarão. Talvez eles formem uma equipe de sustentabilidade e se tornem campeões para mudanças no local de trabalho, garantindo que essa seja uma abordagem de baixo para cima. Por sua vez, isso será visto por seus clientes, fornecedores e partes interessadas e, em seguida, as mensagens claras de seus impactos serão realizadas.

- I am going to review the foods I eat and pledge to not eat prawns and chicken and seek to include more legumes and plant alternatives in my diet.
- I have just moved to a new home and whilst we renovate it, we will make conscious sustainable choices to improve the home such as ensuring the boiler is serviced regularly, purchase a smart kettle, have the windows refurbished, change all lights to LEDs and draft proof the house including installation of shutters. We will commit to ensuring that the EPC of the house is improved from B to A withing 5 years.
This course motivated me all about climate change and helped me to see what impacts I am and can make no matter how small, but we can all make the biggest difference to cutting CO2 emissions together.
I believe that when we learn we can disseminate this information to educate others. By being a force for good we can spread the word that helps to direct change in the right ways and for the right reasons. People will start to make small changes day by day to reduce their personal CO2 emissions and this will transpose to their place of work too. They will talk to others about the changes and impacts they are making, and others will ask them. Perhaps they will form a sustainability team and become champions for change in their workplace ensuring this is a top-down bottom-up approach. This will in turn be seen by their clients, suppliers and stakeholders and then the clear messages of their impacts will be realised.
